Join the Pack, Visit Campus

While most students relish the lazy days of summer, if you’re college bound, summer is the time to get a move on.

For graduated seniors, if you haven’t signed up for orientation, now is the time to do so. There are only three remaining dates for Lobo Orientation, and CEP’s orientation is filling up quickly as well. The only sessions available for Lobo Orientation are in August. If you plan to come to UNM in the fall, you must attend orientation so sign up today before all the spots are full.

For students who are about to be seniors, juniors or sophomores: the best thing you can do this summer is to go on a campus tour. UNM has tours available Monday through Friday, twice a day. You can also go on a housing tour to check out our resident halls. Click here to arrange a tour!

You really don’t know what a school is like unless you go there to visit yourself. Take the time this summer to plan for your future by visiting UNM. You won’t be disappointed.

Becoming a Lobo

Welcome to the brand new University of New Mexico Admissions blog. This is a great place to find information about applying to UNM, scholarships, events, and to-do lists. Your favorite recruiters will be posting regularly to keep you up-to-date on all that’s going on.

Right now, campus is full of excitement as we have a new crop of students transitioning from high school to college. Hundreds of students are here to attend orientation and it’s fun to see all the new faces. Orientation is the last step in the process of becoming a Lobo and it’s when you see your advisor for the first time, sign up for classes and get your student ID. You also get to learn about all of the cool traditions at the University of New Mexico. Students can choose from two types of orientation: Lobo Orientation and College Enrichment Program’s orientation.

If you are planning on attending UNM in the fall, make sure you sign up for orientation soon if you haven’t done so already. The dates are filling up quickly. And remember: Everyone’s a Lobo!
